  I will be getting my hunting documents and supplies at Cal Ranch. Just couldn't get anyone to show up to the sporting goods desk... Pressed the get help button and had other associates call from there radio and then walked to the automotive section where they paged the whole store. Now we heard from one of the managers... She took so long because she had to get the keys. She explained that they did not have anyone scheduled tonight who knew how to work this section and we happened to come at the time when the manager who does know how to do licenses was at lunch. Maybe bad timing on our part but I will give Cal Ranch a shot and now I wish I had traveled one mile in the other direction because it is going to be at least 20 more minutes of waiting.

  Peace shall commence between the United States and North Korea before you are able to check out of this Walmart. Civilizations shall rise and fall, your loved ones will live and die, decades shall pass as the wind blows, and you will STILL be standing in the checkout line. As you are waiting, you will hear about your close friends living wonderful lives, starting families and successful companies. You will observe their happiness from a far, wondering what might have been, if you had just gone to another store. You know you can leave anytime you want, however, you are beyond return now. You have already picked out your groceries. You have reached the halfway point, but deep down inside, you know the end will never come. Hope is gone. You are old now, and you have missed your kids growing up, they come visit from time to time, begging you to just give up. But despite all of this, you hope, perhaps one day, a cashier will open up another lane, and the line of helpless shoppers will move by. You rejoice in the thought of that day. But the thought soon fades away, as you lose the things closest to you. Your wife, happily remarried, has completely forgotten you. She lives and dies along side her new husband, your kids start their lives and have grandkids that never visit you. Years pass, and you witness the destruction of nations, as wars and contention break out among the people. The great pyramids crumble. Mount Rushmore erodes away, the statue of liberty corrodes to dust. the sun swells up, and dies, and the universe expands into a cold dark wasteland. Everything is dark. Everything is quiet. All you hear is the sound of your own breath, and the gentle hum of the conveyor belt, for you are still standing in the checkout line.
